Beth began her rivalry with Candice Michelle when she returned to Raw after over a year of absence. Beth lost her first match back to Candice in a tag bout, but post-match, she instigated a beatdown on the new women's champion. Beth would continue the rivalry on a minor scale until Summerslam, where she won a number one contendership battle royal for the women's championship. Beth displayed her strength and ring prowess to Candice for weeks before their match at Unforgiven when Beth overwhelmed Candice for an entire seven minutes before Candice reversed a fall away slam into a crucifix pin for the 3 count. This feud would continue with Phoenix enraged, but soon she got her pin over the champion; in an intergender tag team contest where she teamed with Shelton Benjamin against Intercontinental Champion Jeff Hardy and his Partner, the women's champion Candice Michelle, Beth stalled in the air with a cradle suplex on Candice before jumping up and slamming her down. Beth got the three count with this, and more is to come. Beth Won the WWE Women's Championship from Candice Michelle in what was almost a one sided match at No Mercy 2007 with a Cradle Suplex. Beth went on to face Candice Michelle on Raw a few weeks later in a 2 out of 3 falls match that saw Beth pick up the first fall with a choke bomb, and the second fall after Candice piledrove herself from the top rope into mat, knocking herself unconscious and breaking her collar bone in the process. Candice made a brief return from injury to distract Beth and cause her to lose a match against Maria that allowed Maria to pose for Playboy. Candice broke her collarbone again shortly after issuing a challenge to Beth for a tag team Playboy bunnymania match at Wrestlemania. Candice has vowed to return and get her title back, but it is unexpected that she'll be getting one over on the Glamazon any time soon.
